Special Needs Siblings, Inc. is a unique, local non-profit with a global vision to provide support and resources for Special Needs Siblings one family at a time. Siblings you are not alone. Special Needs Siblings, Inc. (SNS) aims to educate, empower and encourage the siblings for disabled individuals by providing education, resources, and supportive programs for the SNS family.

💫 My name is Diana, I am a mom of 3, and my middle child, son Joseph has autism. I am writing regarding my oldest Taina who is 15. Inspired by Joseph, and our family’s own struggles with him eloping, she decided to focus her Girl Scout Gold Award project on bringing awareness, info and resources to those affected by elopement within the autism community. She created an Instagram page where she shares info and has also written a children’s book “I Will Not Run Away!” Teaching children about elopement and ways we can help our loved ones who elope.
Later this month she is hosting a book reading at a local library. She has also already donated copies of her book to local organizations who help individuals with special needs and their families. I am beyond proud of her. At such a young age she is helping create an inclusive environment for her brother and others within the autism community.

Excited to share that as the Executive Director and Founder of Special Needs Siblings, we had the opportunity to be a part of the Gwinnett County Public Schools Transition Fair! Our mission is to shed light on the unique experiences of siblings of disabled individuals, and this event was a perfect platform to connect with families and resources.
It was an enriching experience, and my two youngest children joined me, making it even more special. We’re looking forward to more opportunities to raise awareness about the importance of supporting siblings in the disability community. A big thank you to everyone who made this possible!
